Listen to the finest old-time fiddlers compete at The Texas Old Time Fiddle Association 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday, September 18, at the Allen Public Library, 300 N. Allen Dr. Senior citizen contestants, age 60 and over, will kick off the competition at 1:15 p.m.They will be followed by age groups 15 and under, 16-35, and 36-59.Guests can attend any portion or remain for the entire event.Best accompanist will be the final competition of the day.
At 4 pm, Texas Lace will perform a medley of fiddle favorites.Texas Lace has appeared on radio with Red Steagall and the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering Fiddle Contest at the Fort Worth Stockyards.The Kildares, a Celtic Rock group, will then wrap up the day with fiddle favorites at 7 p.m.
