1. What did the pigs take with them when they ran away?
(clothes...)

2. Why did Bert & Ethel go to Florida?
(a vacation/to look for pigs)

3. What did the hotel clerk to get them on "the wrong track"?
(gave them a map...)

4. What made Bert grab the lady, thinking she was a pig?
(her hair bow looked like ears)

5. Do you see the pigs in the book? Do the humans in the book see the pigs? Why is this funny?

6. How do Bert and Ethel finally discover a pig?
(newspaper...)

7. Did you enjoy this book? Why?

8. Advanced question: What is "irony"? How is this used to create the humor in the book?

("Irony (from the Ancient Greek εἰρωνεία eirōneía, meaning dissimulation or feigned ignorance)[1] is a rhetorical device, literary technique, or situation in which there is a sharp incongruity or discordance that goes beyond the simple and evident intention of words or actions. Ironic statements (verbal irony) typically imply a meaning in opposition to their literal meaning. A situation is often said to be ironic (situational irony) if the actions taken have an effect exactly opposite from what was intended.")
